Su estilo sencillo se impuso en la novela escrita, en la radio o en el teatro de entonces.
Su amplia obra ha sido traducida a más idiomas que Shakespeare.
Murió el 12 de Enero de 1976 en su casa de campo sin nada de misterio pero con muchos recuerdos.....
